Midwest Valve Services, a Novaspect company, is currently offering an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician Entry Level to join our fast paced, customer-oriented team.
The successful candidate will have excellent industrial aptitude and will be committed to the success of our company.
The candidate will also be responsible for the accurate and efficient testing of valves in our facility and at customer sites.
Mechanical Technician Entry Level Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Follow all safety guidelinesPerform tests to certify assemblies meet customer's specifications and industry requirementsTroubleshoot valves that fail testing and identify root causeApply advanced math skills to verify critical dimensionsAssist in loading and unloading tools and equipment into service vehiclesDrive company vehicle to and from job sitesMaintain a clean work environmentAssist other valve service departments based on customer demandRequirements:
Mechanical Technician Entry Level Education and/or
Experience:
High School diploma requiredAssociates Degree in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance, Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or related Technology field PreferredDedication to a safe work environment through effective housekeeping, workplace safety, etc.
Industrial maintenance or industrial valve repair experience preferredMechanical Technician Entry Level Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50lbsAbility of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects/toolsAbility to work with hand toolsAbility to work at heightsAbility to stoop, crawl and crouch while working on equipment on hands and kneesAbility to work on your feet for 8 hours per dayAbility to work in a loud industrial environmentComfortable working around industrial equipment with exposed moving partsAbility to climb stairs with up to 20lbsAbility to climb a 20ft.
ladderAbility to drive on average 3-4 hours at a timeAbility to drive 8 hours as needed in a day - although not typicalAbility to work in high and cold temperature environments for extended hoursMechanical Technician Entry Level Pay:
