, an Emerson Impact Partner, the global leader of automation systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Valve Technical Training Specialist.
The successful candidate will take the lead for training and development of our valve service team, service as a technical subject matter expert, drive utilization of diagnostics, perform project/outage management, and travel throughout our territory to perform their role.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Valve and Actuation Subject Matter Expertise including but not limited to:
Valve applications; understanding of valve applications and design features Lead Field Repairs Basic Machining Instrumentation Develop and take ownership of overall valve training plan and qualifications.
Work with Shop Managers and talent management to create, maintain and track training content within our tools.
Manage and supervise on-site valve repair projects Conduct internal formal and information training classes throughout our territory Conduct external training classes as needed Lead MVS technicians on diagnostic utilization and higher level valve skills.
Formal diagnostic review and reporting Work with MVS to identify valve repair and diagnostics standard work practices including valve accessories.
Service led selling; demonstrate how to develop customer relationships to earn status as their trusted advisor.
Provide technical direction to control valve technicians in the field and shop including performing repairs as needed Other duties as required.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma with equivalent work experience preferred 5
years experience in field services 5
years experience in project/outage management Emerson's Control Valve Level II training required or 5
years' experience in isolation, pressure relief or actuation Previous training, mentoring, or leadership type roles preferred Additional Requirements:
Travel across our territory expected up to 50% with 25% overnights Demonstrated proven ability to be go-to person and lead fellow teammates High computer application literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, AMS Device Manager and Valvelink.
Works closely with the Talent Management on documented training Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
Quickly embraces, learns and applies new technology and/or procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Aptitude for navigating difficult customer situations.
Proven ability to build and support teamwork.
Motivates others within the organization.
